To find your iPhone's MAC address, you can do the following:
- Open Settings
- Select General
- Select About
- Scroll down and look for the Wi-Fi Address
The Wi-Fi Address is your iPhone's MAC address. It will look similar to this 06:15:11:DB:24:C1.
To find your Android phone's MAC/Wi-Fi address:
Open Settings → About phone → Status (or Status information) → look for Wi-Fi MAC address.
The exact path varies slightly by manufacturer. A few common alternatives:
Samsung: Settings → About phone → Status information → Wi-Fi MAC address
Google Pixel: Settings → About phone → scroll to Wi-Fi MAC address
OnePlus/Others: Settings → About phone → Status
The MAC address will appear as six pairs of alphanumeric characters, such as 00:AA:11:BB:22:CC.
- Open Settings
- Tap Wi-Fi and find "Hotspot" (DO NOT CONNECT TO IT YET)
- Tap the blue information button ⓘ on the right side of the the wifi name Hotspot
- Toggle off Private Address (when done the current wifi address should match the one you sent me in STEP 1)
-Confirm "Allow tracking" (this will only apply to this wifi network)
-NOW CONNECT to Hotspot by clicking on it.
-If payment portal show up, waif a few minutes and try again.
-If the portal keep showing up the Wifi address from STEP 1 is not matching the Wifi address after you turned the private WIFi address off.
- Open Settings
- Select Network & Internet or Connections
- Select Wi-Fi
- Find "Hotspot" wifi (DO NOT CONNECT TO IT YET)
- Tap the gear icon next to the Hotspot name
- Select Advanced
- Select Privacy
- Select Use Device MAC
-NOW CONNECT to Hotspot Wifi.
-If payment portal show up, waif a few minutes and try again.
-If the portal keep showing up the Wifi address from STEP 1 is not matching the Wifi address after you switch from randomized to "device address".
